It seems there are still many things we don’t know about plants and what chemicals they could provide us. Here’s an article posted at Niume on Krakom, something that I just learned.
Accordingly:
“Kratom, or Speciosa as it’s also known is an evergreen tree from Southeast Asia, it’s found in several countries such as Indonesia & Borneo. The tree itself is in the coffee family. The leaves are harvested from the tree, dried and then the leaves are crushed.
At this point you can either brew the crushed leaves into a tea or grind the leaves further into a very fine powder, like matcha green tea.”
